18| Paddenstoel

Een paddenstoel moet je niet plukken,
een paddenstoel, kom er niet aan.
Met een beetje wil moet dat lukken,
ach laat ‘m gewoon lekker staan.
Een paddenstoel kan niet goed praten,
een paddenstoel zegt heus geen AU!
In het bos heb je ’m zo in de gaten,
hij trekt ook de aandacht van jou.

Een paddenstoel is soms heel erg giftig,
een paddenstoel is een mooi ding.
Niet plukken, want dan word ik driftig,
ze staan soms heel mooi in een kring.
Een paddenstoel vind ik echt machtig,
een paddenstoel groeit soms heel hard.
Hoe komt hij toch zo teer en zo prachtig,
’t is buitengewoon en apart!

Don’t pick a mushroom
Don’t pick a mushroom when you see one,
a mushroomsite should not be bare.
When you feel you’re tempted to pick one,
well, just simply leave it there.
A mushroom sure is no great talker,
it certainly will not say ouch!
In the wood it attracts every walker,
so don’t put it into your pouch.

A mushroom can be a poisonous plant,
although it is a beautiful thing.
Don’t you pick them, it makes me angry
when people spoil their lovely ring.
So mushrooms never are my booty
in times I wander through the woods.
They are delicate and so pretty,
they are nature’s valuable goods.
