Als ik blauw en geel en rood
samen uitdaag tot een dansje,
nou dan heb je best een kansje,
en die kans is nogal groot,
dat er een kunstwerk gaat ontstaan.

Als ik de regen en de zon
samen uitdaag tot een dansje,
nou dan heb je best een kansje,
dat er boven mijn balkon
een mooie regenboog gaat staan.

Als ik een grapje en verdriet
samen uitdaag tot een dansje,
nou dan heb je best een kansje,
dat er iemand van geniet,
waaruit iets kleurrijks kan ontstaan!

Rainbow
Mix up yellow, blue and red,
and invite them all to dance,
then there might just be a chance,
(that must surely be quite clear),
a work of art may soon appear.

Take some rain and add some sun,
and dare them to dance together,
then the question’s when -not whether-
in the sky there’ll be some fun
and a bright rainbow will appear.

If, when you’re sad, a joke breaks through
like the sun in cloudy weather,
it just might help you feel better;
someone’s helped you feel less blue-
