Pesten, omdat hij zo klein is,
pesten, want zij is zo groot.
Pesten, omdat hij niet cool is,
pesten, want zij draagt een bril.
Pesten om een klein verschil.

Het is eng om op te komen
voor een kind dat wordt gepest.
Het is eng om dan te roepen:
‘Hou nou òp, dit kan toch niet!’

Pesten, omdat hij zo dik is,
pesten, want zij is zo dun.
Pesten, omdat hij niet stoer is,
pesten, want zij is zo stil.
Pesten om een klein verschil.
Het is moedig op te komen
voor een kind dat wordt gepest.
Het is moedig dan te roepen:
‘Hou nou òp, dit kan toch niet!’

Kijk eens anders naar die ander,
niet alleen naar het verschil.
En dan moet je toch erkennen:
pesten, nee, dat kan toch niet!

Nagging just ’cause he’s so little,

nagging ’cause she wears glasses,
though the diff’rence is so small.

Standing up when someone’s bullied
asks for nerve from you and me.
Don’t be scared to cry out loudly:

Nagging just ’cause he’s a fat boy,
nagging ’cause she is so thin.
Nagging ’cause he’s not a brave one,
’cause she’s the quietest of all,
and the diff’rence is so small.

Standing up for other children
asks for nerve from you and me.
You are brave to call out loudly:
“Stop it now, this cannot be.”

Take a diff’rent look at others
when they’re not like you or me.
And I think you will agree that
nagging, no, that cannot be!
