Als de liefde komt,
wordt al wat is volkomen,
dan blijft het niet bij dromen,
als de liefde komt. 

Een helder antwoord bij vandaag
is morgen weer een nieuwe vraag.
Zoals de schaduw en het licht:
contrast en daardoor evenwicht. 

Nu eens onstuimig als een kind,
een blad dat wervelt in de wind,
dan weer volwassen en bewust
van leven dat in liefde rust. 

Als de liefde komt,
nog voor geloof en hopen,
dan breekt de hemel open,
als de liefde komt.
